=Thailand-Bangkok= Café Tartine @ Wireless Road

Due to many expatriates staying in Bangkok, their western food outlets and cafés are very well established. Café Tartine is one good example, own by a French and well-known in Bangkok. However, this is not the typical stereotype French restaurant.

Although pricy, in Cafe Tartine you get to decide what ingredients to make your omelet, sandwich and salad, the very least you can do is control the prices by the choices you make.

The table towel here has a drawing of the façade of the restaurant.

This pink color form is where you choose your ingredients.

Gibson came here for breakfast, so I ordered an omelet (80 Baht), and in order to challenge the skill of the chef, I chose an asparagus (25 Baht) and bacon (35 Baht) which is 2 totally different taste.

The omelet didn’t let me down at all, the asparagus and bacon were so juicy and delicious, and the omelet served with green salad and potato gratin, which had a piece of tomato on top.

Besides the omelet, I had also order the Poulet roti, which means roasted chicken in French. So the word of “roti” has nothing to do with bread. They offer 2 sizes, which is whole bird for 390 Baht or half for 220 Baht. I order half bird which was served with grilled vegetables, green salad and of course the French fries.

This homemade infused Pomegranate tea taste like sugar free Ribena, a cup for 80 Baht. I don’t really recommend it.

It is easy to get to this restaurant, just take the BTS to Phloen Chit station and take exit 4 or look for Novotel Hotel, the restaurant is located just right behind the Hotel.
