=Penang= Anson Road Ban Chang Kueh

In Penang, there are mainly 2 version of Ban Chang Kueh (Apam balik) or “Turnover Pancake” in English available in the market, which are the thick or thin version, and both are easily found. However, the thin one is more popular and a hawker in Anson Road offers 12 different flavours, 6 of which can be enhance by adding an egg, making it a total of 18 choices.

These 12 flavours are Normal (white sugar), Brown Sugar, Sweet Corn, Egg, Peanut Butter, Raisins, Banana, Cheese, Hot Dog, Tuna, Chicken Meat Floss and Chocolate Rice, and those that eggs can be added to are Sweet Corn, Raisins, Banana, Hot Dog, Cheese and Tuna.

Address: Opposite Anson Road market, in front of the 4D shop.
Business Hours: 12pm until finish, usually around 3pm – 4pm, closed on Tuesday.

The price list presented here is as on 7th January, the day when I visited the stall, he does not charge 6% GST nor service charge.
