Although we still need to wait for another 2 months in order to celebrate the Mooncake festival, the mooncakes are already out in the market. Many hotels decided to OEM their mooncake, but Tai Zi Heen Chinese Restaurant at Pullman KLCC decided to keep their tradition of making their own mooncakes, where they have a total of 8 flavours from baked to snow skin. It is available for pre-order as of 1st August and will be ready only from 1st September 2017.
Gibson only fancy Snow skin mooncakes, as they have quite an interesting flavour to get Gibson’s attention. He strongly recommends the Mini Dark Chocolate and Single Malt Whisky mooncakes, but if you don’t like snow skin, the baked version do offer alcohol flavour, which is the Rum and raisin with assorted nuts mooncake.
If you are looking for box sets, prices range from RM108 for a box of 4 mini pieces to RM128 for a box of 4 standard. All prices are inclusive of 6% GST.
